A Little History of the bar
Founded by the Jacob Family in 1901, Jacobs Bar had been a well-seasoned drinking emporium for well over a century before Niall & Niamh Power took over in 2005 continuting to make it one of county Dublin’s most well know and loved pubs.
After 104 years in the Jacob Family, Brian and Cait Jacob sold the business to Niall & Niamh Power who renovated the interior while retaining the bar's essential character. Jacobs is every bit the classic Dublin pub filled with intimate snugs and a spacious lounge, sporting a very fine selection of drinks and a very friendly clientele.
Just off the N7 after Citywest Business Campus, Jacobs Bar is on one of the major routes travelled weekly by loyal GAA Fans to and from Croke Park and many other venues. Jacobs is a popular pre and post match haunt and the walls are filled with pictures of sporting stars from the Parish who excelled in their sport
A bar where there is no shortage of things to be discussed over a few creamy pints of Guinness, Jacobs Bar is definitely worth a visit.

Pondered wheather to come down or what ??? What a memory. I shall arise and go now to a village short and free. To a white house known as Jacobs, and a welcome for you and me. For I shall have some peace there for peace comes dropping slow, dropping from the taps of port to where the glasses flow.

This is a great fun pub, we have been twice and both times everyone made us very welcome, there was a group of 8 males and I would recommend this place to anyone, we are going back again at the end of March. Can't think of a bad word to say about the place.

Jacobs has a warm local welcoming atmosphere that unfortunately most pubs have lost. the staff are very friendly and up for the craic.. Pints are cheap and cheerful. close to citywest hotel. definitely worth a visit.
